Hello my lovelies!

How was everyone's weekend?

It was a hard week for me.. got some unexpected and disappointing news; I learned the true colors of some of the people in my life, so just been trying to register it all and make sense of it. For that reason my weekend was definitely one of self-love and self care. I meditated, did yoga and went swimming in the evening on Saturday. Sunday, my family and I spent alllllll day the beach; I got to enhance my kick ass tan!

So, a couple of weeks ago I got contacted by DressLink again, this time telling me I could pick out some clothes. DressLink is such a wonderful place to buy awesome trends for a totally affordable price. I thought I would go for one clothing item, boho and another item to be a little bit more out of my comfort zone. I picked out this sporty dress with gold accents and cut outs on the sleeve. It is super comfortable and got that sport luxe with a bit of a minimal vibe. I wore this on casual Friday to work and made it my own with some grungy elements like the tattoo choker and the beaten up converse.

I also shot this adorable bell sleeved off-the-shoulder black crop top I picked out and it will be up on the blog soon, so stay tuned.

Light and love,
xx

Summertime Sadness

Hi petals!

How was everyone's weekend? How about your Monday?

I had an interview at a Forex company for a marketing internship this morning and I got it eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! I start tomorrow and I am so excited. I've never really been interested in finance but it's going to be something new to learn and also I'll get to find out about all the things that go into marketing. I'll post a little photo of me in front of the building that I took after I got the fantastic news.

I also received a wonderful gift from a friend in the mail today; this badass anti-stress coloring book that he created himself using math. I'm a bit of a nerd so getting stuff like this that shows how math and physics makes up all the beauty of the universe makes me so happy. On top of all of that my mom finally got her face cream she's been waiting months for, so it's just been a wonderful beginning of the week all around.

This weekend is also busy busy busy. Friday evening we have a work beach party nearby to my house and Saturday my family is headed for facials that we won at the supermarket, then in the afternoon a barbecue in Larnaca at a work colleague's house.

Oh I have a song to recommend, Treasured Soul by Michael Calfan. It really has those summer vibes, like you should just be hanging out at a beach party and the video is just as cool.

Alright alright, so for today's outfit I mixed some minimal pieces with some bohemian ones. I went for a neutral skirt and sandals but went for a funky top with the multicolored aztec print. I then chose a chunky crystal statement necklace to finish it all off. This day was particularly fun to shoot because it was windy so I played around in it and my Aunt's cats were prowling everywhere. The one you see in one of my photos is Habibi, she absolutely adoooooooooooores attention.

Well I hope you are all having a good start of the week as well.
Light and love,
xx

Tropicana

So in my last post I had said we'd probably head to the mall on Sunday and so we did. My mom ended up convincing my sister to buy two pair of jeans, which is very typical of my mom. She tends to yell at you not to buy too much but when you're about to leave she keeps bringing pieces she thinks "you must try on" (oops.) I headed over to a makeup store to buy some new concealers and ended up picking up the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer and the Rimmel Hide the Blemish Corrector (if you're in the UK you can find Rimmel concealer in Boots.) I haven't tried out either yet but I think when I do I might write up a review post.

The weekend tends to be our families cheat day, where we eat junk food so my sister and mom had Taco Bell and I grabbed a vegan sandwich from Subway, for dessert as always we had froyo.

Since it was hot and I knew we'd be trying on clothes I wore something fairly simple but cute nonetheless. I paired this adorable floral skort from Zara with a plain black tank top and some black ballet pumps. I layered up some jewelry and went for a nude lip.

I just wanted to mention two albums that I've been loving over the last few months that some of you may enjoy. The first is The Water[s] by Mick Jenkins; it's a very smooth sensual rap album with very thought provoking lyrics, plus Mick Jenkins has the most beautiful deep and raspy tone in his voice. The second album is Sirens by Gorgon City; this is one of my favorite genres of music, deep house. The songs have insane beats and drops, and there's songs for every kind of mood from happy to heartbreak.

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
Light and love,
xx

Old School

Today I felt like channeling an old school vibe with the turtle neck and high-waisted jeans. Very casual and very comfortable paired with the white lo-tops but still sexy because the clothes hug my figure. I added even more of a vintage feel with the cat-eye liner and red lips. I topped the whole outfit off with some big statement earrings for a more urban feel.

Positive Center

Hi lovelies,
So I have some pretty major news... I DYED MY HAIR! Another little present for my birthday was my sister agreeing to dip dye my hair blonde. I had it once in the past and was missing it quite a bit so I finally decided I'd do it again. I am absolutely in love with it, my mom on the other hand, not so much but I feel like I'm totally rocking it and to me that's all that matters!

Let me know what you all think! I'd love to know your reactions.

The last time I had posted I had gone shopping and bought some beautiful key pieces to add to my wardrobe. In this look I styled my first ever pair of black trousers. I've been wishing for some for about a year but could never find any that suited my body shape until I came across these from Zara. I went for a very minimal look, white tshirt, navy blazer and some white converse. I also added some XL pearl earrings for some elegance and a brownish-red lip for a pop of color. This is the kind of outfit I'd wear to college or some casual business meetings.

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.
Light and love,
xx
