Package from Dressgal #1

Hey guys,

How have you all been? Sorry for being absent again for a little bit but I'm back with a new post. I said previously that I was feeling a little lost and this carried on for a while longer but I am starting to heal and come back to myself again.

So what's new? Well, my mom officially moved to Germany a week ago which is absolutely crazy! I was both excited and terrified but it seems she is loving it there which makes me verrrryyy happy. I miss her all the time though, but that's something I have to get used too. Apart from that, things have been absolutely hectic with work; my close friend was given the green light by the doctors after his surgery and came back to work on Friday, it's nice to have him back. Otherwise we are headed out for a sushi dinner tomorrow night.. of course it's gonna be hilarious and full of great memories as always.

I recently got a generous package from Dressgal who contacted me asking if I wanted to pick out $25 worth of clothes. I picked out a whole bunch of versatile things that I can wear in winter, summer, work, not work, whichever. What I love about these kind of stores is how you can try out trends for super affordable prices.

In total I picked out 5 things, one of which didn't fit but that's okay. In today's post I styled two of the items that I got. The first is this beaaaaautiful patterned skirt and the second these whacky but hella cool cat-eye sunglasses. I wore this outfit for work but loved how put together and chic it was, so I had to share it with you guys!

Hope you love it as much as I do. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Light and love,
xx

Bohemian Collision

Hello beautiful souls,

Like I promised I am back with the second piece that I picked out from DressLink.

This week has been quite hectic, a close friend from work had a spontaneous emergency with his lungs and has had to have two surgeries, so when I haven't been at work, I've been at the hospital.

No need to worry though, he is perfectly fine now (thankfully) and will be discharged soon enough.

Alright, so onto today's outfit.
I styled this beaaaaaautiful off-the-shoulder bell sleeved boho top that I picked out from DressLink. I decided to stay with the whole black theme but went for some shorts that were colorful but with a black base. I also went for a pop of color with the adorable yellow rope earrings. This is just an everyday summer outfit for me and embodies my summer style; sexy, bohemian and free-flowing.

Oh well I better head to bed.. one more day of work and it's the WEEEEEKEEEEEEND!

Light and love,
xx

Tropicana

So in my last post I had said we'd probably head to the mall on Sunday and so we did. My mom ended up convincing my sister to buy two pair of jeans, which is very typical of my mom. She tends to yell at you not to buy too much but when you're about to leave she keeps bringing pieces she thinks "you must try on" (oops.) I headed over to a makeup store to buy some new concealers and ended up picking up the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer and the Rimmel Hide the Blemish Corrector (if you're in the UK you can find Rimmel concealer in Boots.) I haven't tried out either yet but I think when I do I might write up a review post.

The weekend tends to be our families cheat day, where we eat junk food so my sister and mom had Taco Bell and I grabbed a vegan sandwich from Subway, for dessert as always we had froyo.

Since it was hot and I knew we'd be trying on clothes I wore something fairly simple but cute nonetheless. I paired this adorable floral skort from Zara with a plain black tank top and some black ballet pumps. I layered up some jewelry and went for a nude lip.

I just wanted to mention two albums that I've been loving over the last few months that some of you may enjoy. The first is The Water[s] by Mick Jenkins; it's a very smooth sensual rap album with very thought provoking lyrics, plus Mick Jenkins has the most beautiful deep and raspy tone in his voice. The second album is Sirens by Gorgon City; this is one of my favorite genres of music, deep house. The songs have insane beats and drops, and there's songs for every kind of mood from happy to heartbreak.

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!
Light and love,

Chambray Flowers

Hi lovelies,
How's the start to your weekend?

This weekend I don't think much will be happening, just relaxing mostly. This morning my sister and I spent time at the beach, getting our tan on. I'm definitely much more of a natural tan kinda gal over self tanning, but I do remember to protect my skin by wearing SPF and making sure to constantly reapply it. Tomorrow though I think my family and I might head to the mall because my sister needs to get a few summery items before her trip to Costa Rica next week.

My sister and her boyfriend tend to take one big trip a year to an exotic country, this year it's Costa Rica. I'm quite jealous, I've never been before and it sounds amazing. They have some incredible yoga retreats when I researched online and it would be wonderful if I'd get to go to one some day, hopefully sometime in the future haha. Have any of you been to Costa Rica? What did you think of it?

I've been missing home a lot this week, especially because it's the Grand Prix at the moment and so all of my friends have come home from university and are going to all the lovely parties. It's making me miss them and I just want to be there with them enjoying the fun. My boyfriend also graduates next week and I don't get to be there, which is probably the thing that makes me the most sad, but I am really enjoying my time in Cyprus and am making the best of the weather and time with my sister.

Alright, so for today's outfit I styled this chambray/denim floral dress. I think my favorite thing about it is the adorable lace detail on the trim and as the straps. I also really love the heart shaped neckline, which is flattering on most people and also really helps with cleavage (hehehehe.) I paired the dress with a loose cardigan and some bright blue espadrilles for a more chilled out vibe and then finished everything off with gold jewelry and an orange lip.

The way I've styled this outfit is very casual and for everyday but you can just as well swap the shoes for some cute gladiator heels and your favorite leather jacket and go to dinner or a club.

Light and love,
xx
