Summertime Sadness

Hi petals!

How was everyone's weekend? How about your Monday?

I had an interview at a Forex company for a marketing internship this morning and I got it eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! I start tomorrow and I am so excited. I've never really been interested in finance but it's going to be something new to learn and also I'll get to find out about all the things that go into marketing. I'll post a little photo of me in front of the building that I took after I got the fantastic news.

I also received a wonderful gift from a friend in the mail today; this badass anti-stress coloring book that he created himself using math. I'm a bit of a nerd so getting stuff like this that shows how math and physics makes up all the beauty of the universe makes me so happy. On top of all of that my mom finally got her face cream she's been waiting months for, so it's just been a wonderful beginning of the week all around.

This weekend is also busy busy busy. Friday evening we have a work beach party nearby to my house and Saturday my family is headed for facials that we won at the supermarket, then in the afternoon a barbecue in Larnaca at a work colleague's house.

Oh I have a song to recommend, Treasured Soul by Michael Calfan. It really has those summer vibes, like you should just be hanging out at a beach party and the video is just as cool.

Alright alright, so for today's outfit I mixed some minimal pieces with some bohemian ones. I went for a neutral skirt and sandals but went for a funky top with the multicolored aztec print. I then chose a chunky crystal statement necklace to finish it all off. This day was particularly fun to shoot because it was windy so I played around in it and my Aunt's cats were prowling everywhere. The one you see in one of my photos is Habibi, she absolutely adoooooooooooores attention.

Well I hope you are all having a good start of the week as well.
Light and love,
xx

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer & Rimmel "Hide The Blemish"

NYX HD Photogenic Concealer - Glow (CW06)
Rimmel "Hide The Blemish" Concealer - Soft Honey (03)

Hi lovelies,

As promised I am back with a review of the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer (also called the Concealer Wand) and Rimmel's "Hide the Blemish" Concealer. I had finished an old concealer that I was using for multiple purposes so it was time to pick up some more but this time I thought I'd try something new.

I heard so many good reviews about the NYX Concealer and how it compared to the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer so I decided I would try out myself. I have never actually used a cream concealer, so this was a first for me. I really love this concealer, it's very long wearing, gives no white cast in photos and hides my prominent under eye circles. I only have two little issues with it, firstly it does crease a little bit even if you set it with a powder and second I think I might have gotten a color that is a little too peach for me (I picked up the shade Glow (CW06)) but that is an easy fix by just buying a different shade next time!

The second concealer I picked up is the Rimmel "Hide The Blemish." I had never heard of this one before but it was very inexpensive and is specifically for hiding blemishes which is perfect for my broken out skin. It is super high coverage and gets rid of all the redness of my pimples or dark spots. The concealer does only come in three shades (I picked up mine in Soft Honey) which means not everyone will find a match but if you do match to one of the colors you will absolutely love it. There is only one thing about it which I don't like, which is the packaging; I think Rimmel needs to make it look a little more sleek because it looks a bit amateurish. Nonetheless the product itself I highly recommend.

I hope this helped and if you have anymore questions just leave me a little comment.
On a side note, I have an internship interview on Monday morning, this is my first interview and I am soooooooooooo nervous; wish me luck!!!!! Also, I'm sorry for the quality of the photo in this post, I'm not the best at photographing beauty products.

Hope you are all have a lovely weekend.
Light and love,
xx

Festival Vibes

Hi sunshines!

How are you all doing? I've not been feeling my best, there's issues going on in my family and my mom is super stressed and it's just awful to see her this way. My sister got back from Costa Rica today, which should make things a little easier.

Anyway, not to dwell on bad vibes too much.

In today's outfit I am totally channeling that festival vibe, and this is definitely a go-to look for me when the festival season comes around. It's got a fun pop of color with the neon mesh crop top contraption and I love how the high-waisted jeans give a bit of an 80's feel. I went for my favorite pair of heels; I love them because they have a thick platform which is less painful on the feet and I think they dress up the outfit.

Light and love,
xx

My DressLink Wishlist

I'm always looking for cute online stores that sell clothes for affordable prices. Especially when it comes to things like trendy pieces that may not always be in season. It's nice to find a place where you can find all the cool things that you want but you don't have to spend endless amounts of money. I recently came across this awesome online shop called DressLink.

DressLink is based out of Hong Kong where they also manufacture their clothes. They sell absolutely anything a girl would want; clothes, accessories, shoes, even beauty products! Name what you're looking for, they have it and at an extremely affordable price. They have items that start at a couple of dollars to things a little bit more expensive, but all of them a super cute and trendy. They ship all around the world with a shipping price that is also not very expensive.

What I love about DressLink the most though is that they constantly have some kind of sale or special offer. Things like flash sales where certain items are priced at only 0.01$ which I've never come across any other online shop.

Of course, while I was browsing I couldn't help but fall in love with some items and now they are things I am dying to have. The first thing I found is right up my alley, and also combines two things that I really want. It's a summer two piece and the top is off the shoulder, with this very unique print. I am absolutely in love!

The second piece is a super cute dress that can be worn both in warmer and colder months. It's a gray sleeveless bodycon dress with a turtle neck which I think gives it a super fun touch.

Here are the links to the items if you are considering picking them up yourself.

Seriously petals, I recommend you check DressLink out, I'm sure you'll find something you adore.

Fringin' About

Hi petals,
How's your weekend?

Mine has been pretty slow, nothing interesting has happened so I'm afraid I don't have much to say today (don't hate meeeeeee.)

Today I'm sharing with you an outfit that I am absolutely head over heels for. When I got dressed my mom told me I belonged in Hawaii but in a good way, and I would have to agree, it's very tropical. I really felt like embodying summer so I paired a tropical cropped blouse with some beaaaaautiful suede fringe shorts I picked up in Zara maybe 3 or 4 years ago. Since the tone of the look is very warm, I paired my favorite gladiator sandals and opted for gold jewelry. I finished the whole look off with a fun orange lip.

Light and love,
xx

Aisle Style: Wedding Dresses of your Dreams

High Neckline/Sexy Trumpet Wedding Dress
Some day soon (hopefully in the very near future *wink wink*) I hope to be a bridesmaid for my sister and her boyfriend. It would be my first wedding and that is something so exciting to me. I love love and watching two people making that kind of union is the most beautiful thing in the world!

I was just doing some research on what styles of bridesmaid dresses there were when I came across Aisle Style.

Aisle Style is a wedding dress company based in the UK that has manufactured its dresses in China since 1995. The company has dressed brides in over 30 countries and has many gorgeous designs that include Angel Satin, lace and Satin Chiffon. My personal favorites are the delicate lace, very romantic and ethereal styles of wedding dresses they have!

The awesome thing is that they don't only make wedding and bridesmaid dresses but wedding guest, flower girl, mother of the bride and even prom dresses. All the designs are extremely affordable even with being of good quality and made with great care. What's even cooler is that if you find a bridesmaid dress that you love and you order 4 or more of the same dress before the 30th of June, you will get 15% off. What an amazing deal!

I promise you no matter who you are at a wedding; bride, bridesmaid, a guest.. the dresses from Aisle Style will make you feel confident, magical and beautiful, inside and out.

Light and love,
xx
